Control unit (Pulse Width Modulation)
The controller supplies a pulse-width modulated output signal. It works like a switch that switches on and off periodically.
The switch-on time is the time in which the switch is switched on. The frequency is the inverse of the cycle period.
The duty cycle is the ratio of the switch-on time to the cycle period, expressed as a percentage. A duty cycle of 100% therefore means that the switch is switched on permanently.
